When I Googled the meaning of my name, the most common answer I found was “Little Old Wise One,” so that is what I’m calling this blog. – A little conceited, maybe, but I figure this trip is all about taking care of me, myself and I…so appropriate it is. 🙂

I am so excited for this opportunity and have decided to do this to share my experience of wwoofing and traveling Ireland with those of you I hold near and dear. Some of you know a lot about me, others may know very little but it is my pleasure to open up the lines of communication here. Over the last year I’ve grown mentally and emotionally at a rate I’ve never known possible. A great deal due to my incredible therapist, one of the greatest and most welcomed change I’ve had this year is the friendships I’ve begun to form with so many different people. Parents friends, friends parents and co-workers of all ages have become an extended family this year and it is absolutely heartwarming. Though most of these people have been in my life for years, I don’t think I have ever let my guard down and let them in as much as I have in the past eight months.

And, that will end my spiel on personal growth.

In nine days I will embark on a journey that I’ve envisioned and dreamed about for many years, but never actually thought it would so easily fall into my lap. I feel so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life who have encouraged me in this endeavor and supported me whole-heartedly in the many paths I’ve chosen over the years. I hope that you can read this and enjoy the ride with me.
